Not even in the same ball park. Trump is a master of free publicity and follows P.T. Barnum marketing plan - “I don’t care what they say about me, just make sure they spell my name right!” and it seems to be working for him. He makes outrageous statements and gets world press following him. You are talking about him and he is a common topic of daily conversation. Had he made moderate comments throughout the race he would be in last place and would not have been noticed in the race.
