I see it that the guy after you at the ATM got short changed 20 bucks........kind of how the banks make up for the discounts they give to the savvy customer by charging a higher rate to the more naive client who comes after them.
You were right to give it back--but scotch - taping it to the ATM might have given it a better chance of hitting the right wallet:)

Boris....great write-up. Guess you can add to the phrase, "No good deed goes unpunished" to "Good deeds rarely get acknowledged" After this write-up, you just might get a call, and a free green chair for your office....lol
Thanks for the good read!

This seems to me to be the exact anecdote as to why small, nimble, companies (such as mortgage brokers and other entrepreneurs) where the staff, management, and owners, are all involved, engaged and care, will always outperform the big behemoths, and other dinosaurs. Thank you Boris!

Hi James,
You make a very good point. I may have to go from branch to branch and find one of their newer chairs.
Cheers,

Hey Boris. I enjoyed your blog. The last time I was in TD Bank, they were replacing all their chairs with new, identical chairs. The "old" chairs looked fine, so I asked why there were doing this. Apparently, the chairs get "soiled" frequently from leaky diapers (from both young and old), vomiting, spilled drinks, etc. Therefore, you may not want to take that green chair home. Yuk!
